Some might be surprised about how blatant Democrats are being on their plans to use the elected positions they have to manipulate the vote in the upcoming 2020 general election.

Just last week Julian Castro, a Democrat presidential candidate from Texas, talked proudly about how Democrats are now in control of the local county positions in all of the major urban centers like San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. He discussed how advantageous it will be for Democrats heading into the election, since they now control the elected positions that oversee the elections division within each of the large counties in Texas.

This is my prayer for Republican Senators and Representatives during the 86th legislative session.

Anyone who has watched the House chamber over the the last several years has witnessed the results of tyrannical leadership, top down dictatorial authority and legislators needing their legislation blessed by a lobbyist before it could even move through the legislative process.

Conservatives hopes soared throughout the session and the number of Republicans pushing back on the Joe Straus regime grew. The 15 strong opponents at the beginning of session was clearly a majority of the Republican caucus by the end, and that number grew more after Governor Abbott called a special session which required Straus to openly take up the Democrat mantle.

Witnessing waste in government spending is infuriating. It means money was unnecessarily, forcibly taken from a Texas family. When you use force to remove someone’s property the level of responsibility on spending those dollars rises significantly. But as conservatives, we must ask ourselves if we are practicing what we preach. Are we living within our means?
